Cane rattan is typically harvested from rattan palms, which grow in tropical regions, and the appearance and texture can vary depending on the environment. For example, whether the season was more dry or wet than usual can impact its natural color, and the time of year it’s harvested can affect how it absorbs color. Some might even include small marks of darker shades, leaving each piece with a subtle sense of individuality. Chosen to add a touch of organic-inspired elegance, realistic faux shagreen’s appearance can vary due to the stamp application. While seaming is common, minor cracks may occur at the joints, and minor flaking can appear over time, this material is a favorite in our selection for the charm it brings each piece.
